As a travel enthusiast from California, I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Shepherds Hut on Cornish Smallholding during my visit to Cornwall. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by lovely hosts who had thought of every little touch to make our stay comfortable and memorable. the hut itself was nothing short of adorable, equipped to a high standard with a cozy sitting area, dining table, and a patio where we could enjoy the peaceful garden views. One of the highlights of our stay was sitting by the small lake next to the hut, watching the family of moorhens while enjoying our breakfast and supper. the tranquil rural location provided the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway, allowing us to truly disconnect and immerse ourselves in nature. the thoughtful welcome gifts of fresh eggs, milk, and Cornish fairings added a special touch to our experience, making us feel right at home. The proximity to attractions like the Minack Theatre and Tate St Ives made exploring the area a breeze, while the easy access to Land's End Airport was convenient for our travels. the attention to detail at the Shepherds Hut, from the well-equipped kitchen to the fire pit outside, exceeded our expectations and made our stay truly unforgettable. I cannot recommend this hidden gem enough and cannot wait to return for another peaceful retreat in the Cornish countryside.
